Moroccan Spiced Hummus

This Moroccan Spiced Hummus offers a delightful twist to the classic recipe, infusing it with warm and aromatic spices commonly found in Moroccan cuisine. It's creamy, flavorful, and perfect for dipping or spreading.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed for desired consistency

Instructions:

Put the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic that has been minced, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice in a food processor

Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to make the mixture smooth

To get the right consistency, add water one tablespoon at a time if the hummus is too thick

Check the seasoning by taking a taste and adding salt if needed

Place the hummus in a bowl for serving

Pour olive oil over the top and, if you want, add a pinch of paprika to decorate

Chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks go well with it
